Residential Natural Stone & Brick Pathway
This project involved designing and constructing a custom garden pathway that blends natural aesthetics with structured durability. The client wanted a functional walkway that added both visual interest and practicality to the side of their home. Our team at Luna Landscaping delivered a beautifully layered pathway that balances natural and refined elements.
Client Goal:
To create a welcoming, safe, and elegant access point along the side of the home that adds curb appeal and complements the garden.
Design Highlights:
The pathway moves organically, inviting guests along a guided journey through the garden.
A blend of symmetry and randomness—structured brick placements contrasted by freeform stone shapes.
Functional yet artistic—designed to impress while staying low-maintenance.
Scope of Work:
Excavation & Grading: We began by grading the area to ensure proper water runoff and a level walking surface.
Base Preparation: A compacted gravel base was laid to allow drainage and support the surface stones.
Pathway Construction:
Installed a combination of natural flagstone, charcoal interlocking bricks, and decorative pavers.
Used a mix of textures and colours—earthy reds, dark greys, and beige stones—to create a natural rhythm throughout the walkway.
Raised Border & Steps: Defined the edges and created transitions with precision-cut stone blocks, giving the area structure and visual flow.
Garden Integration: Incorporated low-maintenance border greenery to soften the hardscape and tie the walkway into the surrounding landscape.
